'O Bar' Launch @ Sago Restaurant Takapuna

This event had been talked about around the back alleys and speakeasys of Taka Town for nigh on a fortnight and invitations were like hen's teeth; small white and blunt.

Sago Restauranteurs, Cindy & Ken, launched the O Bar concept to a rapturous ovation in trendi Takapuna recently.

Guests were shouted beverages of every kind, colour, shape and texture while being intermittently entertained by the Will Martin Trio.

 

Two hours of complimentary imbibing before everything went hazy; it was suddenly the next afternoon and I was on a slow boat to Rangitoto with one eyebrow missing...

I do vaguely recall asking Ken for the real story behind the O Bar.

Did it possibly have something to do with a certain screaming drink, or was it alluding to the real Story of O?

That's about the time the light went out in my lunchbox.
